RFP - Weatherization Project
MCAGCC Twentynine Palms, CA
Joseph Chow & Associates, Inc. was tasked by NAVFAC SW to provide a Request for Proposal which will provide weatherization upgrades to 62 existing single story concrete and concrete masonry unit buildings within the 1400, 1500, and 1600 areas of the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center located in Twentynine Palms, California. These upgrades include but are not limited to new storm windows, new exterior insulation, new window film, new weather-stripping, premium efficiency HVAC motor replacement, and new paint.
As part of this project, JCA performed a separate study to evaluate the existing conditions of all 62 buildings in-order to establish a base line of the existing building performance. A life cycle cost analysis was also provided for three selected buildings to demonstrate the possible cost savings attributed to the proposed weatherization work. The RFP team also evaluated the existing HVAC equipment to determine their efficiency.
