San Francisco City Hall Seismic Upgrade and Tenant Improvement
San Francisco, CA
We were requested by the Bureau of Architecture to participate in a team which would prepare a Historic Peer Review to ensure that the work being contemplated for the building has been designed and constructed in accordance with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation and Guidelines for Rehabilitating Historic Buildings.
The scope of this project included reviewing the construction documents to ensure the seismic upgrade, interior upgrades, and accessibility upgrades were completed in a manner which did not destroy the historical fabric of the building.
After completion of our Peer Review we were requested to monitor the progress of the project on a daily basis during construction on behalf of the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO). Any change orders or modifications were also evaluated.
