UC, Office of the President, Conference Room Renovation
Joseph Chow & Associates, Inc. (JCA) was retained by University of California Office of the President to provide Architectural and Engineering services to convert a vacated commercial space into a conference/multipurpose room for UCOP.
The new space primarily serves as a conference room that accommodates up to 100 people. The new space has state-of-art audio/video equipment for UCOP’s teleconferencing needs.
We retained some architectural elements, such as the curved soffits, the wooden partition to reduce the project costs. The resulting plan allows for furniture layouts that are flexible and capable of supporting a variety of uses including meetings, training and fitness. In all our design decisions, we tried to maximize the client’s dollars with simple solutions to create functional and aesthetic space.
